length x width x thickness

Cubic yards in a cylinder = diameter x diameter x .785 x height
Weight of concrete = cubic yards x 3,900 lbs or cubic feet x 144 lbs
Volume Conversions: Cubic yards x 27 = cubic feet
Cubic yards x 46,656 = cubic inches
Volume of water = 7.48 gallons per cubic foot

 

Calculating the volume of bulk sand, gravel, screenings, potato stone, paver bedding
Cubic yard of bulk material covers approximately 100 square feet at 3" thick (10'x10'x3")

Please Note: We sell flagstone by weight, however you can use the following chart to calculate approximate square foot coverage conversions.

1/2" flagstone= approximately  6.7     pounds per square foot.
3/4" flagstone= approximately  10      pounds per square foot.
1" flagstone= approximately  13.33 pounds per square foot.
1-1/4" flagstone= approximately  16.7   pounds per square foot.
1-1/2" flagstone= approximately  20      pounds per square foot.
1-3/4" flagstone= approximately  23.33 pounds per square foot.
2" flagstone= approximately  27      pounds per square foot.
