Polymeric Sand
King Permasand Coverage Guide - soak well with a fine misty spray to avoid movement of the sand
Stabilizing Sand versus Polymeric SandIt has been proven in the industry that a stable jointing sand is needed..... The following is an explanation of the differences between "Stabilizing Sand" and "Polymeric Sand". Polymeric sets up quite hard when water is applied (once and only once) Be sure that it is swept into the joints properly. · Once set up, Polymeric sand stays
in one state- converting a segmental system to a monolithic one. Installation notes for Polymeric
Sand: Polymeric Sand slows joint erossion. Is available in two colours (beige or grey). Extremely durable. Mitigates weed growth in joints. Reduces ant infestation and is easy to apply. Envirobond Stabilizing Sand is re-usable · Envirobond allows for flexibility
in the joints as it molds itself to the movement of the joint. Installation notes for Envirobond
Stabilizing Sand: Because it is self-healing Envirobond remains flexible in the joints as Polymeric turns a segmental system closer to a monolithic one. NOTE: Polymeric and Stabilizing sand although having different properties, and having slightly different application values are meant to be used to help control joint erosion. Neither is a cement product and therefore need proper maintenance and may need to be re-applied every few years to top up any joint erosion that may occur over time.
