With great sadness
we announce the passing of Jack Meehan |
 |
Jack passed away at the Joseph Brant Memorial
Hospital in Burlington after a long battle, on Saturday, August 30, 2003
at the age of 75. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Joan
Meehan. Loved father of Don Meehan and his wife Bev and Laura O'Connor and
her husband Greg. Cherished Grandpa of Kiri, Julia, Christa, Greg and
Matthew, all of whom will miss Grandpa's sense of humour. Survived by his
brother Ron Meehan and his wife Joyce and their family of Rhode Island and
Connecticut. He will also be missed by many McKay, Minogue and Lee nieces
and nephews of Alberta and British Columbia. Jack's smile and greetings
will also be missed by the staff and customers of C-A Building Products
(CAP Brick), which Jack founded in 1966. |

| A graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New
Hampshire, Jack served for the US Army in the Korean war, later becoming
the Operations Officer of the Infantry School in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Jack was a past member of the Kiwanis Club in Edmonton and the Rotary Club
of Burlington, was past Treasurer of the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital
Foundation, a 10 year member of the Mayor's Business Development Committee
and past President of the Burlington Golf and Country Club, where he will
be especially missed by Fred McCartan, George Ryan, Jack Cowman and many
other friends and acquaintances. |
