Brick staining and masonry tinting penetrate the surface unlike brick or masonry painting. Staining or tinting results in a smooth, uniform appearance. These products penetrate the surface pore structure of clay bricks, mortar or concrete blocks. The product then bonds to the walls of the pores permanently.
